Check out our new machines!
Thursday, 21st January, 2016
Enhance your training and challenge yourself with these awesome new machines! Ask one of our trainers for tips on how they can help you to get the most out of your training or watch the full video on our Facebook page.
Woodway Curve Treadmill
The Woodway curve treadmill is designed to burn 30% more calories than a regular treadmill and works the same muscles as outdoor running.
Familiarise yourself with this calorie-burning, core-toning machine! This popular machine utilises your entire body through climbing the ladder and burns a very high amount of calories per minute in comparison to other cardio machines.
When using the machine you are placed at a 40-degree angle which puts the spine in a more neutral position, relieving the back of stress and engaging core muscles.
The Glute machine reaches the hard-to-isolate areas and will strengthen your glutes giving you a sculpted derriere and strength to perform regular activities more efficiently. It also uses the hamstrings as secondary muscles. The machine’s main purpose is to ensure the Glutes are engaged without relying on the quads or hamstrings.
The Abductor/Adductor machine targets the inner and outer thigh as well as the Hip Flexors.
When it comes to sled you literally have unlimited options. Do it for time, do it for speed, push it, pull it, do sled suicides, do sled intervals.
Literally the way you can do sled training is unlimited and you should always be able to make it challenging and fun (well as much fun as sled training can be).

Congratulations to our first member of the month for 2016, Ryan Attwood.
What was your turning point that made you realise that joining a gym was what you needed to do?
I started training as I needed some alone time and found great relief in weight training. It took off from that point and so I decided to join the gym.
What motivates you to come to the gym?
My fitness goals are my main motivation to come in and train most days. The friendly faces at the gym from staff and other members are also very encouraging particularly when I’m told to drop down and give 10 push ups by Susan!
Why did you choose All Sorts as your place to train?
I chose All Sorts because everyone always has a smile on their face and knows your name. It’s a very personable gym and there is always a loud welcome with a smile from all staff!
How many times a week do you come in to train?
I train between 5-6 times a week with 3 cardio session each week.
What else are you doing to compliment your workout?
I eat healthy and cycle to and from work every day.
What advice would you give someone starting out for the first time in the gym?
Don’t be shy! Jump straight in; we are all there for the same reason. You are already better then everyone sitting on the couch.
Make this the year you achieve your health and fitness goals!
This year, stop the cycle of resolving to make change and then not following through. Stay on track past January with a personal trainer or speak to us about our member care program. We are here to help you every step of the way!

If I’m not working in the gym, I’m always researching and learning something new about fitness! On the weekends I catch up with friends for a game of soccer and we usually have a drink afterwards.
