Member of the Month – February

We are hugely excited to announce our member of the month Sy Robertson!
Before Sy had joined All Sorts in May last year, his fitness and wellbeing was not top of his priority. Weighing 130kg his health had begun to take a toll.
Sy was sadly diagnosed with cancer soon after he joined All Sorts and the devastating news meant that he had to change his lifestyle completely and focus on his treatment. Thankfully Sy is now in remission and his new found love for fitness has given him significant improvements in day-to-day functioning and overall health and wellbeing. Sy now trains up to 6 times per week, is stronger than he has ever been and has a great outlook on life.
Thank you Sy for being such great inspiration to everyone here!
What was your motivation to come to the gym?
My motivation is the mental and physical after effect of exercise. To have a positive and happy life you have to be happy with yourself. After being diagnosed and treated for cancer mid last year, my health is my number one priority.
How often do you train?
I train 6 days per week (I might be sneaky and train 5 days some weeks)
What would you say to someone if they asked you about All Sorts Fitness?
I would say it is the best investment anyone could make. Everything you need plus more.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Being 130kgs when I was younger I would tell myself to wake up and get out there and exercise.
Favourite thing about All Sorts?
The family feels when I walk through the door everyday. It really has become home to me .

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE COMPETITION
Payment and Entry to Competition
1. Team payment information must be supplied and approved / or team entry paid before your team’s place is secured in the competition.
1. We adopt the Futsal rules which can be found on the Football NSW website.
2. Maximum of 12 registered players – all information must be filled out on player details’ form.
3. Maximum of 2 non-Asian players per team.
4. All teams must wear uniforms with numbers. (Inclusive of non-marking shoes, shin guards and long socks)
5. There must be a minimum of 3 players’ in attendance from the team otherwise it will be considered a forfeit.
6. Send offs and Suspensions
a. In the event where a player gets 2 yellow cards, and sent off they cannot play in the next game.
b. In the case of a player getting a straight red, dependant on the severity of the incident they may be suspended longer than one game or banned from the tournament.
c. If any player, team or supporters become involved in any fighting they will be dealt with accordingly and may be kicked out of the competition where no money will be refunded.
d. All send offs and suspensions will be dealt with by the competition organisers.

Get an energising, thorough workout in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere while learning to move gracefully to mystical, ancient rhythms. No dance experience is required.
This is a beginner classes designed for women of all ages, backgrounds and fitness levels.

Congratulations to our first member of the month for 2017 – Leslie Wang!
Leslie is dedicated to her training and always gives 110% in her PT sessions with Jenny. Because of her hard work, she has managed to reach her goal of getting fit for her trip back home for Chinese New Year at the end of January. Well done Leslie!
How long have you been a member at All Sorts? Since September last year.
What do you like the most about All Sorts? It’s a good place to meet new people, good stress relief from work and a great gym that offers everything from swimming pool / tennis court to classes and big gym floor (That’s why I drive 20 minutes one way to go to the gym)
Favourite classes? Body pump! Always good music and a hard work out.

A brand NEW program for the little ones!
Our Little Sports Champ program is a weekly program which aims to develop fundamental skills in pre-schoolers to set them up with skills for life!
Multi-sports include soccer, basketball, gymnastics and much more. The program will run on a continuous 8 week cycle, they will never do the same sport!
Starts 6th February at 10am every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
