This month we roll out the sled carpet for Jared Simcox!! Jared has been dedicated to his boxing training and has lost an incredible amount of body fat since starting back at Boxing.
What pushed you to start your fitness journey and how long have you been training? I just didn’t feel confident in my own body, my energy levels were low and found myself spending more time sitting down doing nothing even when I had the opportunity to get up and go. I boxed in school (and was in great shape!) so picked up my gloves and joined All Sorts with a commitment to come every day I was in Sydney. Funnily enough, I haven’t lost any weight – but I’m a jean size smaller and my shirts don’t fit anymore.
In 3 ways, describe what All Sorts is to you? All Sorts is a bit of a temple to myself, 90 minutes of me time where the phone is off and I’m focused on getting as hard a sweat on as my body will let me. It’s a place of supportive, likeminded individuals sharing their own personal journeys.
What are your favourite Group Fitness classes at All Sorts, why? I only take one from time to time which is the boxing class. If you want to work your body really hard and are a little competitive like me then I highly recommend it.

Retrosweat is coming to All Sorts!

The authentic 1980s freestyle aerobic workout is coming to All Sorts on Monday 27th March at 7.30pm!
Retrosweat burns calories and tones your entire body. It strengthens your heart, improves posture, flexibility, co-ordination and confidence. Working out is a pleasure when you’re getting hot ‘n’ heavy with Michael Jackson, The Pointer Sisters, Prince or The Police and looking bodacious while you’re doing it. Retrosweat is more than a workout.
Founder Shannon Dooley fuses the iconic moves from the classic era with her own unique retro-styled choreography, and smashes them out to a soundtrack of classic ‘80s grooves.

How long have you been a member at All Sorts? Almost 7 years
In 3 ways, describe what All Sorts is to you? Home away from home – I train 6 days a week, conveniently close to home and work and motivating.
What are your favourite Group Fitness classes at All Sorts, why? This is impossible to answer – I really enjoy all the classes I do (Boxing, RPM, Body Pump, Body Balance and Aqua). The instructors are awesome, and have always been supportive when I have struggled with various injuries.

We know how important your fitness is to you and by setting these standards to your kids from a young age, you are helping teach them the importance of fitness.
We have so many offerings at All Sorts for the whole family and are all about encouraging fitness from a young age. Kids yoga is a great way to introduce kids to fitness and mindfulness. Our specialist kids yoga instructor Karen has years experience and makes kids yoga enjoyable for all ages.
