WHY DO WE DO PAJAMA WEEK
Falling into a pool of water with clothes on can produce fear and hysteria in an otherwise calm swimmer. We want all swimmers to know that although it may feel strange to swim with clothes on it is still something they can and should do when in the water.
Even if you don’t know any water safety skills yet, having this practice can help you react quicker and prevent panic until someone can come to your rescue. A little bit of time can make a big difference in an emergency situation.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR PAJAMA WEEK
- Have your swimsuit under your pajamas. The first 15 minutes of the lessons will be in clothes and will be focused on safety skills
- Bring and extra plastic bag to put wet clothes in after the lesson
- The heavier the clothing, the more the swimmer will feel the weight of it (flannelette)
Kids yoga has now moved to the Mind Body Studio every Wednesday and will be at the new time of 4.45pm.

We are hugely excited to announce our member of the month Sy Robertson!
Before Sy had joined All Sorts in May last year, his fitness and wellbeing was not top of his priority. Weighing 130kg his health had begun to take a toll.
Sy was sadly diagnosed with cancer soon after he joined All Sorts and the devastating news meant that he had to change his lifestyle completely and focus on his treatment. Thankfully Sy is now in remission and his new found love for fitness has given him significant improvements in day-to-day functioning and overall health and wellbeing. Sy now trains up to 6 times per week, is stronger than he has ever been and has a great outlook on life.

What was your motivation to come to the gym?
My motivation is the mental and physical after effect of exercise. To have a positive and happy life you have to be happy with yourself. After being diagnosed and treated for cancer mid last year, my health is my number one priority.
How often do you train?
I train 6 days per week (I might be sneaky and train 5 days some weeks)
What would you say to someone if they asked you about All Sorts Fitness?
I would say it is the best investment anyone could make. Everything you need plus more.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Being 130kgs when I was younger I would tell myself to wake up and get out there and exercise.
Favourite thing about All Sorts?
The family feels when I walk through the door everyday. It really has become home to me .
